Demo instances are separate organisations for showing EveryWealth with fictional data. EveryWealth staff create and manage them in the staff area.

Create a demo

  1. Open the EveryWealth staff area, choose Demos, then select Create demo.
  2. Enter the organisation name you want guests to see.
  3. Select Permanent to keep the demo available indefinitely, or choose End on a date and the Last day of access. The suggested date is 14 days away; you can choose a date up to 90 days away.
  4. Select Create demo. When creation finishes, the new demo is selected in the list. Check its name and web address before opening it or inviting users.
The same prepared sample is copied into each demo. You do not need to upload or process the source documents again. Each demo has its own records and files, so changing one demo does not change another. If your connection is interrupted, retry with the same details or close the dialog and select Refresh list to check whether the demo was created. A failed setup is archived automatically; its records and files are retained.

Select and manage a demo

Everywealth team administrators see All team demos, including instances created by other staff. Other staff see Your demos. Entries show who created them; the selected panel also shows their email address where available. Managing a demo does not change its original creator. The Current list shows available and preparing demos, sorted by name. Use Find a demo to search by name, web address or creator. Select a row to show its management panel; Selected marks the row you are working with. The panel repeats the demo’s name, web address, status and access duration. Check the web address when two demos have the same name. Open demo, invitations, member management and document links all apply to that selected instance. Creation is separate from managing an existing demo. Create demo always opens a new workspace form. Changing the list view or filtering out your selection clears the management panel; another demo is never selected automatically. Select Archived to inspect closed demos. Their management actions are unavailable. Use Refresh list to check a preparing demo or retrieve the latest status.

What is included

The demo contains these entities:
  • Acme Family Trust
  • Acme Pty Ltd
  • Acme Self Managed Super Fund
  • Mr. Acme
The portfolio includes 15 holdings, 63 saved transactions, capital commitments and 110 source documents. Documents are linked to their entity, holding and saved transaction where applicable. General issuer news is available in Documents. This is a historical scenario valued at 30/06/2026, with investment assets totalling AUD 159,607,466.18. Fixed demonstration exchange rates are used throughout, rather than the exchange rate on each transaction date. Custody cash, liabilities and uncalled commitments are not included in that asset total. Some original documents use “Acme Pty Limited”; these belong to Acme Pty Ltd. Each investment has its own short code and subcategory. Purchases, sales, dividends and capital movements for the same investment are linked to that holding. The sample includes NVIDIA in Acme Pty Ltd, Wesfarmers in Acme Family Trust, and Spark in Acme Self Managed Super Fund. Daily values are available from each holding’s first transaction through 30/06/2026. New demos open the dashboard at 30/06/2026, so return metrics use the prepared history. You can choose another date range; use dates within that period to explore performance. Listed investments use the supplied historical closing prices; private assets carry their documented values. Share splits, sales, paid capital and the Wesfarmers return of capital are reflected in the history. The updated sample applies to newly created demos. Create a new demo to use it if your existing demo contains the earlier sample; existing demo changes and approvals are preserved.

Explore governance documents

Open Governance to browse 32 additional source PDFs across the four Acme entities. Documents are organised into folders for governing documents, registers, policies and decisions. “Acme Pty Limited” in the source files refers to Acme Pty Ltd in the demo. The sample contains 19 current documents, with 12 earlier versions available in their version history. One proposed Letter of wishes — Draft appears separately for Mr. Acme; it does not replace his current letter of wishes. The power of attorney is marked as not activated in its summary. Review and expiry dates are filled in, including an overdue review for the company’s delegation and signing authority. These dates reflect the governance scenario at 16/10/2026 and are kept as supplied. Sample deadlines have no notification recipients; add recipients if you want reminders. The portfolio remains valued at 30/06/2026. You can open the PDFs and explore their version history immediately. Documents are not automatically prepared for AI search when the demo is created. All documents are fictional specimens and have no legal effect. This governance sample is included in newly created demos. Existing demos are unchanged.

Approve the three remaining transactions

Select your demo, then Review pending transactions under Explore this demo. Three dividends are prepared for approval: Wesfarmers for Acme Family Trust (31/03/2026), Spark for Acme Self Managed Super Fund (10/04/2026), and NVIDIA for Acme Pty Ltd (26/06/2026). Review the source document, entity, investment and amounts, then approve the transaction using the usual review controls. These three dividends are not saved as transactions until approved. The other transactions are already in the portfolio.

Open a demo

After accepting an invitation, open the demo from your home screen. Demos are labelled Demo · No subscription required. Neither staff nor invited users need to start a paid subscription to access an active demo, including a permanent one. Access still ends when a dated demo expires.

Invite users

Select a ready demo, choose Invite users under Guests and access, enter an email address and choose a role. Send the invitation when ready. You can invite more people after creating the demo. Choose Admin for someone who needs to try the approval workflow, or use Manage members, open the Members tab and grant the appropriate approval permissions. Invitations do not extend the demo’s lifetime. A notice inside the demo shows guests whether it is permanent or the last day of access. Use Manage members to review access, resend invitations or remove guests. See Members and permissions.

Reset an active demo

In EveryWealth → Demos, select an active demo, then choose Reset demo under Start this demo again. Read the confirmation, type its organisation name exactly, then select Reset to Acme sample. The reset replaces the demo’s entities, investments, transactions, source documents, governance records, approvals and related sample data with the latest prepared Acme sample. This includes daily values, capital commitments and three dividends awaiting approval. Reporting settings return to the sample’s Australian settings and AUD currency. Demo period locks and related tax workpapers are cleared. Changes and additions made during demonstrations are removed from these areas. This cannot be undone from the Demos screen. The organisation name and web address, members, invitations and expiry setting stay the same. Stored files and audit history are retained. Ask guests to finish their work before resetting, then reopen the demo after the success message. A failed reset leaves the previous records in place. If the connection is interrupted, retry from the same confirmation dialog to check that reset safely. The creating staff member or an Everywealth team administrator can reset it, and only while it is active. Expired or archived demos cannot be reset. Demos with connected integrations, bank feeds or active inboxes cannot be reset; create a new demo instead.

Change the demo lifetime

Select your demo and choose Change duration. The dialog repeats its name, web address and current duration. Choose Permanent or End on a date, review the proposed duration, then select Save duration. Cancel closes the dialog without saving. Dates use UTC, as shown on the screen. Permanent demos are not automatically archived. To retire one, choose Change duration → End on a date, set its last day of access and save. The creating staff member or an Everywealth team administrator can change its lifetime. Access ends at midnight UTC after the chosen last day. The demo is hidden from the home screen and archived by the hourly expiry check. Access and invitation acceptance are blocked, but the organisation, records, invitations and stored files are retained. There is no automatic permanent deletion. Guest user accounts remain available for other organisations. Staff can select Archived in the Demos list to view archived entries. They remain closed to users. Expiry cannot be extended after the demo has expired. Create another demo if more time is needed. Only add fictional data, and archived data is retained but is not accessible through the demo workspace.

Team administrator access

Everywealth team administrators can select any active demo and change its duration. To open another staff member’s demo or manage its members and organisation settings, select Enable staff access if shown. This adds your staff access and records the action. The original creator keeps their access. You can then open the demo, invite users, manage members and reset its sample. Ordinary organisation administrators do not gain access to other demos. Archived and expired demos remain closed, including for team administrators. These controls do not reopen them or permanently delete their records. Critical: retain working Everywealth staff access throughout an active demo’s life. Keep the creator’s access where possible and arrange a team administrator handover if needed. Staff must manually check new instances and repeat those checks after a reset before guests use them. A pending invitation alone does not confirm working access.
